TOUCH GRASS
No one looks up from their phones anymore. In the artwork, a surreal woman drops glowing orbs from the sky, nudging a couple to actually see each other. The world around them is playful and strange with cereal-box buildings, broccoli trees, and shampoo skyscrapers, a reminder that reality is weird, bright, and alive if you just pay attention.

TOUCH GRASS
TOUCH GRASS In satirical fashion, billboards show cyborg women campaigning to “TOUCH GRASS.” There is comical irony in machines urging us to disconnect from the isolation they create.

Dear Emptiness
I write this, though it hurts to do so. We’ve been inseparable for too long, and yet I feel suffocated by your presence.
You’ve taken up more space than I have to give.
I need a little time apart, even if just briefly.

STEP 2
If you have a mind, you have riches.
If you have a heart, you have treasures.
If you have a soul, you have wealth.

The Cult of Summer
I can’t stand summer - it’s less a season and more a sweaty cult, all humidity, sunburns, and forced “good vibes.” While others worship the heat, I wither in it, barricading myself indoors with iced coffee and A/C at 62, counting down to autumn. Summer might be holy to some, but for me, thriving is always cooler, darker, and entirely my own.

The Waiting Room
Most of my art bleeds from old wounds, but this piece is carved from the relentless now – hunger gnawing like a vulture, cold nesting in my bones, time mocking with a frozen grin. I’ve scraped by on scraps, trapped by expired papers and the slow erosion of survival, yet I still create – weaving jagged, surreal fragments from the silence, hoping someone will see the raw heart beneath and spark a shift. Until then, I remain here, suspended in the waiting.

Playing With the Dead
Stitched with button eyes, teddy bears sink into the darkening ocean of memory, carrying unspoken goodbyes. Grief, uninvited, gnaws like a fever dream you can’t vomit out, its raw ache hidden behind bubblegum masks and veiled smiles. This surreal, cartoonish dive into loss explores how we disguise pain to survive, yet how those submerged memories shape who we become.

She’s Got Sole
These shoes, grit-soaked and stubborn, bleed stories through every hole - their soles whispering of a soul that spits in defeat’s face. An anthem of endurance, born when new shoes were out of reach, they became a canvas for moving forward. Created from the broken, each step pulses with raw beauty, turning necessity into humor, rebellion, and resilience.

Shed Your Skin
Born in New York, I was stranded in Guatemala after my father’s factory was violently seized - confined for six years to a windowless, closet-sized room that became both prison and cocoon, surviving on $2 an hour, cut off from the world. Shed Your Skin is a surreal story of confinement, transformation, and survival, where suitcases in the art lie beneath her, whispering promises of escape to Chicago. Outside, surreal billboards flicker with snakes, butterflies, and the quiet murmur of change. This isn’t a tale of being trapped - it’s the slow, burning hope of shedding the past to become something new.

Neon Diaries
Neon Diaries is a visual metaphor - every artwork I create is born from personal truth, like ink spilled in a private journal. But unlike hidden pages, my stories are on full display. In this piece, she's surrounded by floating monitors, each screen a glowing confession. It marks the moment my art became my way of surviving. At 32, wrecked in LA by a divorce and drowning in rage, I started bleeding through surreal digital canvases - painting not with brushes, but with wounds. When I was torn from that life and dropped into Guatemala’s broken streets, grief came like a riot. Then one night, lit by the glow of an old laptop, I saw her - my mother - woven into old works. Every surreal pixel pulsed with memory. Neon Diaries is that moment: when I realized I hadn’t just been making art. I’d been keeping the past alive.
