"Goin' Postal" – Edition of 11, Sold Out on OBJKT

Lighthearted artwork of a disgruntled mail carrier venting frustration on a computer store, inspired by a 1995 Letterman joke

‘Goin' Postal’ is a playful departure from my usual serious artwork, born from a moment in history when skepticism around the internet’s potential was at its peak. In 1995, David Letterman humorously ridiculed Bill Gates, questioning the necessity of computers. This iconic exchange sparked an idea that grew into this lighthearted artwork, which contrasts the tension and complexity often found in my other pieces.

The concept behind ‘Goin' Postal’ imagines a disgruntled mail carrier seeking revenge through the very technology that was once considered unreliable: email. In the piece, the mail carrier, fed up with the chaos of delivering physical mail, takes out their frustrations on a computer store, bringing humor and irony into the forefront.

While most of my works delve into deeper, more emotional realms, ‘Goin' Postal’ embraces a tongue-in-cheek critique of technology's impact on everyday life, poking fun at the very moment when computers were still viewed with skepticism. The humor in this piece serves as a reminder that creativity can take many forms, even in the most unlikely situations.

This edition of 11 pieces on OBJKT has already sold out, but you can explore my other works in the Available Art section or check out my Sold Works page for more sold-out editions that have found new homes with collectors.
