"Never Forgotten" – Artwork Sold on SuperRare

Artwork inspired by Mary Frye's poem, reflecting on loss, hope, and the comforting presence of a departed mother in nature.

‘Never Forgotten’ is a deeply personal piece that reflects on the enduring bond between a mother and her child, even after death. Inspired by the powerful poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye, this artwork embodies the concept of spiritual connection and the belief that our loved ones never truly leave us.

The piece speaks to my own journey of loss, marked by years of quiet contemplation and the search for meaning. During those days of reflection, I would sit outside, smoking cigarettes and feeling a sense of anger and helplessness. Yet, amid the isolation, something inexplicable would happen—my hand would warm as if guided by an unseen force. Could it be my mother's spirit, offering comfort in her absence?

The sight of leaves fluttering in the wind always brought me a sense of peace, and I began to interpret their movement as a sign—a way for my mother to reach out and reassure me. In those quiet moments, I found hope and connection. This artwork is a tribute to that spirit, and it’s a reminder that love and memories transcend death.
